 YOUTH TRAVELERS’ TOM CHAMBERLAIN 248: 713, DYLAN BULUSAN 244: 689, JARED DUNCAN 266: 680 BATTER LODI MAPLES

Lodi, NJ 02-11-18 – In Stan Niemiec YTL action at Lodi Lanes, defending champion Holiday drubbed the plastic-coats, firing eleven “200s” in recording the day’s top net set 928: 2606 as it slammed its way to seven points against Bowler City I; torrid Tom Chamberlain led Holiday’s high rollers with 713 [226-239-248] and was joined in the pin-mashing by southpaw Jared Duncan 680 [201-213-266], David Neil 625 [206-219-200] and Michael Milligan 207-214; rolling fine numbers for Bowler City I were Hi Tech freshman John Behr 221-190, Teaneck sophomores’ Trevor Savoye, Margaux Lesser with 206-185 and 190 respectively and Peyton Esposito’s over-average 178.

In a thrilling face-off, league-leading Lodi’s runaway freight train was slowed by Hi-Tor II’s talented distaffers who bounced back from an opening game pasting to snare four points. The exciting second contest produced six huge deuces in the session’s best encounter won by Hi-Tor II 885: 1056 to 872: 1037 who then went on to capture the finale, 975-949. In that stellar middle game, the victors lit up the leaderboard with Akira Deloatch’s 241, Mercedes Morel’s 237 and Olivia Kohut’s 235; Lodi countered with Jake Nappi’s 250, Hunter Perry’s 237 and Trevor Deliantis’ 215. The match included fifteen “200s”: pulverizing the pins for the victors were Akira Deloatch 659 [204-241-214], Mercedes Morel 640 [237-221], Olivia Kohut 235 and Nancy Kohut 205; Lodi pummeled the pin decks with Jake Nappi’s 678 [258-250], Hunter Perry’s 662 [200-237-225] and Trevor Deliantis’ 639 [215-215-209]; Amanda Madara chipped in with 186-180.

In a match-up where both teams played short-handed, Montvale overcame a slow start to win five of seven points from Hi-Tor I, 2708-2632; anchor Henry Tipping led the winners with 661 [192-202-267], stringing ten strikes after a first frame open in the finale; Brian Biml had one huge game of 277 and Ryan Kitz recovered after a sub-par opener to pencil in fine scores of 219-192. Hi-Tor I’s young anchor continued to play havoc with the maples, crushing them to the tune of 689 [244-234-211], lifting his thirty game average to a flashy 216.37; also posting good numbers were Alisha Khan 201 and Mark Shapiro 193.

T-Bowl remained in a tie for second place by taking four of seven points from Bowler City II; Tom Luchetta, normally the anchor, delivered terrific 278-232 scores from the leadoff position while teammates’ Dylan Heinold and Chris Rysz contributed 193 and 181 respectively. George Ferguson engineered the third game three-point triumph for BC II with 234, helped out by Michael Bellifemini’s 189 and Teaneck sophomore Mia Aish’s 191; Michael posted the team’s other deuce with an opening game 203.
